Everything you never wanted to know, but now have shoved in your face by a blog post!

Hey hi hey hi hello hey guys guys guys guys guysguys! You may have noticed that my volcabulary has been reduced to that of a hyperventilating hairbrush, (not sure where that came from...the deep dark hairbrush orientated recesses of my mind perhaps),but anyhoo, but here is a monumentous thingy - I'VE BEEN NOMINATED FOR SOMETHING OTHER THAN WASHING UP DUTY! The thingy in question is an...*pause for effect* AWARD. *Gasps* I know! I'm so excited! So, without anymore ado, let's get on with the show! It seems there are some rules I have to follow, and they are:
  • I have to answer the eleven questions set by the blogger who nominated me (ooh..questions!)
  • I must then pick eleven (what is it with that number?) blogs who have under 200 followers, and think of eleven questions for these dear blogs!
  • When I have completed all this, it seems I have to put in a little link to the blogger who nominated me - I can tell you that now, that good person was LUCY!
Righty tighty then, question time!
If you could go back in time, which era and country would you go to?
Ooh...I'm gonna go with the fantastic fifties, most probably in America! If you'd asked me at some other time my answer would probably have been different, but at le present momento in time, I am in the school musical with my dear lovely fantabby friends, and that musical is...GREASE! I just think it sounds a pretty fun time to be alive - all that hand-jiving, and dancing, and gosh do I love the dresses! Full skirts, halternecks...sigh!

The next question was pretty mysterious! Lucy gave us a link, and told us to watch it, and say what we thought..so, I clicked on the link...and it took me to HERE! Wow...when i first saw this, I was slightly horrified at the sickly sweet girly singing, and the sweet girly outfits...but the more I watched, the more I accepted that that's just the nature of J-Pop, and you have to love it for what it is!

Do you play an instrument?
Yes! yes I do! I play the ukelele, banjo, guitar, didjerydoo, oboe, harp, bassoon, saxophone, violin, bongos, harp and last but not least the kazoo! ...Is what I would say, in an ideal world, but if we must return to reality, then the answer would have to be no. I am sadly instrument-less!

Who is the greatest female influence throughout history?
I'm going to guess that Lucy means my greatest female influence, and I'm going to go for...aaargh! There are too many! May I list them?
Queen Elizabeth 1 - She may have been crotchety, grumpy, but she was one of the first big fashion icons (not mine!), and she stoicly refused to marry - both of which I think are great things to have going for you!

Coco Chanel, for, well, obvious reasons!
Anne Frank - I hardly thinks that needs explanation!
And there are many more, but we must crack on!
What is your favourite film?
Hmm...I think I shall have to plump for...the fantastic Les Miserablés!
Where are you from?
Well, I was born in Nottingham, but I've grown up in Derbyshire - in my opinion, there is no better place to grow up!
What is your guilty pleasure?
Which one! Hmm.... watching endless Danisnotonfire videos, eating cake, stalking blogs...
What is the worst thing about work/college/university/school?
Oh - too many to name! Getting up stupidly early, having no freedom with my uniform, nasty scary horrible people who call me a nerd, horrible teachers, too much homework, and many more!
What is your catchphrase?
Righty tighty!
Oui, oui monsieur!
Lob oo!
Fun buns!
Beam me up, Scottie!
Go away parent!
Oh look..a male...
What are your ambitions?
To be an awesome arty farty person, who flits around happily in her massive French chateau!
If you had the chance to emigrate, where would you go?
France! Peru! Sweden! EVERYWHERE!
Nominees-
Hollie!
Lois!
Bronky!
Amehka!
Hanni!
Aoife!
And then..I kinda ran out! It was a brave attempt! Stay classy, dinosaurs, and I shall see you next time on Sophie Gets Nominated Then Everyone Wishes She Wasn't Nominated Because She Just Rambles Stupidly!

***************UPDATE YAY***************

Mahoosivemegahugeamundo breathless party report!

Pant..pant..hello! You may see from my post title, that I am a tad breathless..this is because I am still reeling from the utter joy of this weekend! it was so jam packed (which is a good thin, becuase I am a Jam Fan.) Right, this weekend it was our fantabby friend Saffle's birthday party this weekend, so of course Bronia, Hannah and I (they have blogs, but go find them yourselves. I have french homework.) put our heads together, and decided unanimously that this called for a..Pre Trip Trip! And we went on one! i shan't say too much about it, as that's not the main focus of this post, but I shall say that we visited the ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT Fred's Habberdashery! Yippee! (I bought some daisy flower things and 10 metres of wire!)

But anyway..on to Saffle's actual trip! I took great pains to photograph everyone's outfit, so here they all are...! I shan't dissect each outfit, I shall merely step back and let you admire everyone's awesomeness! Here is mine:
 Bronia's:

Hanni's:

 The party girl herself! (Saffle)

Kathryn:

Sarah:

And least but not least, Bex's!:
Yay! Isn't everyone epic? Oui, I think, is the answer! These were taken near the start of the expedition - after that we sashayed on to pizza Express (!!!!), where I did take gazillions of pictures, but they are all just entirely pointless,a nd they were simply taken becuase Bronia and I were a little giddy (we don't get out much.) After that, we all went to watch EPIC, which was...wait for it...EPIC!

I bet you werent't expecting that! I may have already mentioned that I have Frnch Homework awaiting me, but there it is again - what I'm saying is, I can't be bothered to review this awesome film, but here is a link to someone who was bothered...Here! Right here! Click on meeeeee! But I should add..everyone I can find on the Tinternet is extremely critical of this film, but we, simple minded souls though we may be, absolutely LOVED it! Oh, and also - did you know BeyoncĂ© played Queen Tara! I didn't! Right..oh year! News! The clever little gadget thing which allowed you awesome peeps to follow us on Blogger will be DELETED soon, so I strongly suggest you getchaself a Bloglovin account! All from me today guys - TTFN! Crowns and Conversions!!!

Well hey there! I salute you for hopping over here on your pogo stick, or riding over here on your llama, or being dragged here by a unicorn whose horn you are tied to with a magical ribbon!
Hahahaha...I'm sorry, I just found this amusing..
Right, today is an exciting day, because (I appreciate this might not be quite so exciting for you guys) my dining room has been AWESOMIFIED! Previously, in my dining room, the colour scheme was (brace yourself) GREEN and BEIGE. Uggh..shudder. Here are some wubbish pictures I took during the TRANSFORMATION process - It didn't normally have the bookcases in the middle of the room. But hopefully you can get a feel for the WUBBISHNESS of le place!

But now...this is what it looks like!

YAy! Do you like it? I love it! I'm spending every waking minute in there! Oh..and onto the other topicc of this post...Flower crowns! I am a mahoosive fan of ASOS market place, which is like a cool version of Amazon, specifically for clothes. It's AWESOME!! I get emails from them whenever something exciting happens, and here is a screenshot from my latest emai:
If you'd like to hone in, as I did, on the picture on the middle left - festival headresses! I scrambled to clickety click on the link, and oh what joy did I find on the other side! Here are some gems which are FOR SALE! I am obviously a huge advocate of DIY-ing, but if you dont fancy that, then here are some of the gorgy jewels you can get your hands on:

Yay! Arent't they gorgy? I myself am a fan of the huge poofy fluffy elaborate ones, but there really is a crown for everyone, from small delicate ones to gorgeous elaborate fat things! Now, before I flit off, I shall leave you with this picture of Mike (from WOTE)  - well, his puppet anyway - making wishes in the back yard. I love him, and with that, fareweelius!

The brilliance of badges!

Hallo, vie gehts, danke gut und dir? Just a wee tad of Germanicus to kick things of...Right! Yes! Badges! Ok, so badges can be a cute, sweet, funny, powerful, or just plain awesome accessories to brighten up any outfit! And here I shall show you a blindingly obvious way of making them (I know I'm underselling, but I can't deal with criticism, so I'll get it out of the way myself!) Okely doo...on with the show!
You will need:
  • Circular images
  • Glue
  • Cardboard
  • Safety pins
  • Sellotape
  • Scissors
Sticky back plastic (can use sellotape instead)
Step one: Gather some appropriate images you wish to badge-ify - it helps if they are circular, but I guess you could cut circles into them. Print them off. Here are mine:
Right..next, cut said images out. This sounds fairly straightforward, but for me this was the part that took longest! here are some I cut out earlier...

Then, my jolly pals, stick the circles onto a piece of cardboard - mine was fairly thin, simply because that was the only cardboard available, but you can vary the thickness depending on how sturdy you want your badges to be!
Now, this is where your stickyback plastic comes in. I happen to have a massive roll of stickyback plastic I bought in Year 7 (Aaaah..nostalgia...) to cover my books with, but you probably won't. So, if you don't you can just use sellotape in strips to do this. Just cover your cardboard with plastic/sellotape, making sure their are no lumps/bumps/air bubbles! This will make them vaguely waterproof. You probably can't see in the picture, but I have done this.
Now, time for some more cutting out! So, yeah, just...well, cut them out!
You probably can't see that these have been plastic-covered, but hey ho a diddly o! Now, take your safety pins, and using a liberal amount of sellotape, attach firmly to the back of each badge. On reflection, I should have used bigger circles or smaller safety pins, so, take my advice, and learn from my stupid mistakes!
Yaaayyy! Clapclapclapclapclapclap! Give yourself a pat on the back! All that's left to do now is go crazy and stick them on everything! I hope you enjoyed this, and I bid you a temporary farewell! *Salutes and disappears in a cloud of rainbow sparkles*

Please excuse hastily drawn note...
Oh yeah, guys - just to ask your opinion - I'm considering CHANGING THIS HERE BLOG'S NAME. (Gasp) I know. Radical, right? It's just...I'm sick of having to tell people:
  • What miscellaneous means
  • How miscellaneous is spelt
  • Why the hell I called my blog that instead of some normal name
So...my proposal is I change the troublesome word 'miscellaneous', and exchange it with the word 'marvellous'! I like it! My Marvellous Mess! Leave your thoughts in the comments!
